Tax Tip #258: Unlimited Mortgage Interest Deduction on Rentals

Unlike your personal residence (which caps mortgage interest deductions at $750K of debt), rental property mortgage interest is fully deductible with no limit. If you have $2M in DSCR loans at 7.5% interest, your $150,000 annual interest deduction has no cap on Schedule E. This is one of the biggest tax advantages of investment real estate.
