Tax Tip #332: Short-Term Rental Supply Deductions

Consumable supplies for short-term rentals are deductible in the year purchased: toiletries ($200-$500/year), coffee and kitchen supplies ($300-$600), linens replacement ($500-$1,000), cleaning supplies ($200-$400), and welcome gifts ($100-$300). Keep receipts organized by property. These seemingly small deductions add up to $1,500-$3,000/year per property.
